Rafting

File 1601
Our bodies flow as river of prana - that is why we feel so good on the rivers or in the flow of yoga or the joy of music. Join us for a yogadventure bringing the best of Wanderlust together -- incredible nature, yoga  and music with your pranic river guide, Shiva Rea. Begin your festival experience with an afternoon journey down the Truckee River where Shiva will create a ritual experience in which to leave it all behind, dive into the moment and enter the powerful flow of the river for a summer group float embracing the meditative and the wild. From Meditative Silence to Kirtan and Collective Folk-Blues chant, we will meander downstream, enjoy meeting new tribe, and dunk in the vibe of yoga flow and summer fun.  For all levels and ages, no experience necessary, just an open heart.

There is an extra charge of $25 to cover the rafts, guides, transportation, and other costs. This class will count as a "free" class for purposes of your three class per day limit, but capacity is limited. Be advised if the Truckee River has no water in it, there will be no rafting. :-( The bus will come pick you up at the Village at Squaw by Building 5 at 1:30. You'll be taken to Tahoe City to Truckee River Rafting (about 15 - 20 minutes). The rafting trip takes you North on the Truckee River back towards the festival. The raft trip is about 2.5 hours.  At the end, you'll disembark at River Ranch -- a great restaurant and music venue. Hang out and have a drink. Or stay and catch the evening concert. A bus will return to the festival site at 6 pm. If you stay longer, you can grab a ride or a cab.
