Wanderlust at Kula - 3/20 in NYC

File 885

Wanderlust brings a little taste of its summer festival to Tribeca to celebrate the equinox. After a long New York winter, come usher in Spring with a music-infused vinyasa class, an extreme session of Twister and a much-needed dance party at Kula Yoga Project.

The evening kicks off with a tag team vinyasa class featuring 3 awesome Wanderlust teachers --- Virayoga's Elena Brower, Yoga Tree SF's Janet Stone, and Kula mama Schuyler Grant. Guitarist John Shannon and bassist Garth Stevenson will provide the musical inspiration.

After class, grab a glass of delicious bio-dynamic wine provided by Ukiah Cellars or jump into Extreme Twister -- an instant classic from Wanderlust 2009-- hosted by Alex Auder. Open hamstrings a plus, competitive lust a must. There will be prizes to inspire a yogic state of equanimity.

Then get down to the funky beats of Brooklyn's best -- The Ohio Party.

If you haven't heard of Wanderlust, the festival is best described as a world-class yoga retreat crossed with a music festival, all set in the glorious natural scenery of Squaw Valley USA in North Lake Tahoe.  For those who can't wait until July 29, Wanderlust at Kula gives you the essence of it at an intimate level.

The event is presented in association with Kula Yoga Project -- NYC's premier yoga studio known for its sweaty Kula flow and amazing teachers.
